What MenuMatch is

MenuMatch is a food-preference and meal-decision helper. It reads menus, ranks dishes against the preferences you give it, and estimates nutrition. It is a convenience tool, not a professional service.

What MenuMatch is not

MenuMatch does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and does not provide medical or nutrition advice. Eating preferences such as "anti-inflammatory" are treated as preferences, not treatments.

Nothing in MenuMatch is medical, dietetic or nutritional advice. If you have a health condition, an eating disorder, or a serious allergy, talk to a qualified professional. MenuMatch makes no promise about any health outcome.

Accuracy

Calorie and macro figures are estimates, not measurements. Recipes, portions and preparation vary by location and by kitchen.

Menus, ingredients and prices change often and vary by location. Confirm anything important with the restaurant.

Dishes read from a photograph, a website or pasted text may be misread, out of date, or incomplete. Always check the menu in front of you.

Allergies — please read this one

Allergen flags are best-effort and are not a guarantee. Dietary labels can miss ingredients, and shared kitchens carry cross-contamination risk. If you have a serious allergy, always confirm ingredients directly with the restaurant before ordering.

MenuMatch filters dishes using the words in a menu. A menu that does not mention an ingredient may still contain it. Shared fryers, shared surfaces and changed recipes are all invisible to us. The absence of a warning is never a guarantee of safety.
